Natale Lino Stracuzzi

UPDATE: Thinking it over I was a little harsh on Starcuzzi. If you have never run for office, you have no idea how hard it is, especially as a candidate for an emergent party where you don’t have anything like the infrastructure of an established party.

Natale Lino Stracuzzi is the DC Statehood/Green Party candidate for Congress. He sounds more like a libertarian than a Green. And in his issues he did not mention DC Statehood. The only job of DC’s non-voting Delegate is to get DC voting status, that is really it. He didn’t even mention it.

The local Green Party needs to do a better job on candidate recruitment. Even if you can’t recruit winners, you can at last avoid embarrassment.

I am the Libertarian candidate running against Eleanor. I can assure you, having read his platform, that Lino is earnest and honest and committed — but he is no libertarian. He believes the government some day could helpfully plan society and the economy. It’s just been controlled by banks and corporations that use State power to protect themselves from free market competition, as Marxist economic historian Gabriel Kolko has shown it has done for a century.

No Bruce, I believe in a capitalist system, But with a government that profits from it. That some day could helpfully plan society and the economy for the working class and the working poor.

dcblogger here. I have never been to a Statehood meeting, and my only activity with regard to the Statehood party is to vote for DC Statehood/Green Party Candidates. I also blogged in support of David Schwartzman

I cannot find out anything about you or this year’s candidates. I have seen your posters around Benning road, but you don’t have a web site, not even a wordpress blog, which you could throw up for free.

There is no information about you or any of this year’s candidates on the Green Party web site http://dcsgp.yolasite.com/

How can people learn about you if you don’t put anything online? Not even using the tools such as wordpress or blogspot which are free?

Put up some information about yourself and I will link to it.

Because I have no money! That’s why I do not have a website. Ann Wilcox doesn’t have one also. But you could just google us and see our info online.
P,S, We are in the DC voters guide.
Who is the posting with name DC Statehood/Green?

You don’t need a penny for a wordpress blog, just a wordpress account. Just set up an account, choose a template and post. Same with a blogspot blog, no money needed. You don’t pay for the software or the hosting. How do you think homeless people like Eric Sheptock pay for his blog?

There are free tools. People who are completely destitute are online. Just set up a blog, you don’t even have to post every day, just a few posts to give voters some sense of your views and general approach. The YouTube channel is useful, but you need some other online presence.

Give me the link to your blog and I will post it. Facebook is great for people on Facebook, but it is not search engine friendly.
