Support single payer blogging!

First of all, many many thanks to those of my readers who have been kind enough to hit the link and make a donation. It makes it much easier to keep blogging about single payer health care, Michelle Rhee’s follies, and the many other problems that confront us. THANK YOU.

I need just a few more donations and my most pressing needs will be met. This is a labor of love, but it has an opportunity cost. It doesn’t cost much, but it isn’t free either. I need your help to keep blogging about health care.

If you have steady employment, and are not overburdened with debt, this blogger would be especially appreciative of your support.

School Enrollment Figures Don’t Add Up, Council Says

Gray said there were about 72,000 students in the city’s network of public and charter schools in the 2006-2007 school year. The following academic year, there were only about 71,000 students. That number dropped to about 70,000 in the 2008-2009 school year.
