I was just informed that Fairfax County is calling one of its bonds, that means they are paying it early to save money. Good for taxpayers, bad for investors. That is an indication that Fairfax is bracing for hard times, a sign of good management. There will be many municipalities who get ground up in the coming meltdown. Fairfax will not be one.
